From the East to the West banks of New Orleans, the music culture can be heard as well as seen through representations in musical genres only an eclectic city such as New Orleans can hold.
In the forefront in this unique musical blend is Uniquity (yoo-nik-wi-tee). Uniquity is a monthly collaborative event bringing artist representing Hip Hop, Spoken Word, and R&B to one stage to perform accompanied by local jazz band, Fo on the Flo. Each month founder and emcee, Slangston Hughes develops a platform for newcomers and seasoned veterans within the entertainment community of the Southeast region as well as welcoming others throughout the country and the world.
